 How to configure a POP account using Microsoft Outlook 2003
Solution To Set Up Your POP E-mail Account using Microsoft Outlook 2003
  1. Open Microsoft Outlook 2003 and select Tools > E-mail Accounts
  2. You should now see the E-mail Account wizard window. Select "Add a new e-mail account" and click Next.
  3. For your Server Type, select "POP3" and click Next
  4. In the Internet E-mail Settings window enter your information as shown below:
    1. Your Name - Enter your first and last name.
    2. E-mail Address - Enter your complete e-mail address.
    3. Username - Enter your complete e-mail address again.
    4. Password - Enter the password you set up for your e-mail account.
    5. Incoming mail server (POP3) - Enter mail.yourdomain.com for your incoming mail server. (replacing "yourdomain" with your own of course.)
    6. Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - Enter mail.yourdomain.com for your outgoing mail server.
  5. At at bottom of the window, click "More Settings"
  6. On the Internet E-mail Settings window, select the "Outgoing Server" tab.
  7. Check the box for "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication". Leave the rest of the settings as default.
  8. Now select the "Advanced" tab and change the "Outgoing server (SMTP)" port from 25 to 587.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Now you're back at the original e-mail accounts window. Click Next.
  11. Click Finish.
