At the end of July 2009 we will be upgrading all of
our Microsoft SQL 2000 servers to Microsoft SQL 2005. You will need to
ensure that the applications, scripts, and sites hosted by us are
compatible with Microsoft SQL 2005. Although the majority of the
applications, scripts, and sites we've seen are not impacted, we can
not be 100% certain. We do understand that you may not be able to
determine the compatibility of your application which is why we're
offering customers the option of "testing" their application against
Microsoft SQL 2005. If you're interested in this service please contact our support team.
Our support team will create a copy of your database on a SQL 2005
server. You would then need to modify the connection string of your
application to point to the new server and database. Once connected you
can verify the functionality of your application. If you're satisfied
that your application functions with SQL 2005 the we can leave the
database there and turn your other database off.
